10 years in the making. Inspired by the little boy who started it all.
Ten years ago, when our founder Elspeth's son Hamish was a baby, there was one thing he wanted more than anything else.
Her car keys.
Forget all the lovely baby toys. He wanted the real thing.
The cool metal, the shiny surfaces, the jingling sounds. There was just something about those keys that he found completely fascinating.
And that fascination was the inspiration behind Yummikeys.
So, as we celebrate 10 years of Yummikeys, we're going right back to where it all began.
Introducing our Yummikeys Car Keys.
A very special addition to our collection, inspired by Hamish and all those babies who would much rather have your car keys than anything from the toy box.
Everything they love about your car keys. Made just for them.
Our stainless steel Car Keys are designed for little hands and curious mouths, combining sensory exploration with a functional teething toy.
Cool, smooth metal to soothe sore gums, a satisfying jingle when shaken and plenty of interesting shapes, textures and moving parts to explore.
They're wonderfully simple, but that's exactly the point. Babies can spend ages investigating something new, especially when it's shiny, makes a noise and feels completely different from their other toys.
Why babies (and parents) love them
-
A functional teething toy – smooth, cool stainless steel for little ones to chew and explore.
-
Wonderful sensory stimulation – shiny surfaces, different shapes and that irresistible metallic jingle.
-
Made for curious little hands – grasping, shaking, turning and exploring helps encourage fine motor development.
-
Beautifully simple – no batteries, flashing lights or complicated features. Just open-ended discovery.
-
Personalise with engraving – add a name or special message to make their Car Keys uniquely theirs.
-
A keepsake to treasure – long after the teething days are over, their first set of keys can be kept as a lovely reminder of those early years.
Personalise their first set of keys
Make their Yummikeys Car Keys even more special with our special engraving.
Make their first set of keys uniquely theirs. This version includes personal engraving on the back of the key fob, turning a much-loved teething toy into a keepsake to treasure.
Add up to 45 characters of names, dates, meaningful words and emojis. Please type everything exactly as you’d like it engraved, including capital letters and emojis.
The amount we can fit may vary slightly depending on the combination of letters and emojis chosen. If your chosen emoji can’t be engraved clearly, we’ll contact you before engraving
Add their name or a meaningful message to create a gift that's both practical now and a treasured keepsake for years to come.
Perfect for a new baby, a christening, a first birthday or simply because every baby deserves their own set of keys.
